to bring the demise ~

Ill~wind ablowin'
her cradle unstable. . .
caught in the backdraft
rhyme, reason or fable ~

Wolf in sheep's clothing
purloining by stealth. . .
treasure so cherish'd
not of mere wealth ~

Gold cannot purchase
'heart~gift's' aspire. . .
LOVE unrestrained
purged in the fire ~

Unguard'd ~ unprotected
victim of laissez faire. . .
when the bow breaks
no sound can compare ~

Down has come baby
silent tears say it all. . .
'heart~gift' relinquish'd
