What might we miss
to rush fast away . . .
from Father's sweet presence
who bids us to stay ~

What wisdom we lack
He'd gladly provide. . .
had only we chosen
with Him to abide ~

What hard questions answered
that trouble our mind . . .
if only we'd waited
solutions to find ~

What heart~comfort stolen
while in such a rush . . .
not enjoying the sweetness
Holy Spirit's gentle hush ~

What glory ~ what healing
what peace to attain . . .
'twould be Father's pleasure
to free us from pain ~

From wounds that yet bleed
bruising the heart . . .
flung by the enemy's
hot fiery dart ~

What precious anointing
to refresh and renew . . .
changes in attitude
and new points of view ~

Father is longing
our hearts to share . . .
OH ~ WHAT MIGHT WE MISS
