What is a  veteran, you ask
just  WHO  and WHAT  are  they? . . .
veterans are  so many  things
I'll  share  a  few  today  ~

Veterans  have served their country
in time of war  or  peace . . .
they did not shirk their duty
but  stood  for their beliefs ~

Veterans will ne'er  forget
the  sound  of  reveille . . .
and bugler's  passionate, plaintive
taps resounds their memory  ~

Veterans  have flown the skies
and  riden  the waves at  sea  . . .
Air  Force ~ Army  ~ The Corp
and  United  States  Navy  ~

Victories  they've ne'er  forgotten
many  stories  left  untold  . . .
ingrained within their  hero~hearts
worth more to us  than  gold  ~

Duty ~ Honour ~ Faithfulness
attributes  to name  a  few . . .
God  bless  our  beloved  veterans
served  well  The Red ~ White ~ Blue !!!
