As each new day is dawning
what is the song you sing . . .
is it dischordant & gloomy
to a dirge of despair do you cling ~

Are there lyrics of past failures
constantly 'aringing in your ears . . .
bathed in regrets & hopelessness
smear'd by your heart's many tears ~

Is the chorus too oft' repeated
beating its rhythm of doom . . .
"You are a LOSER" the drumroll
believing its message of gloom ~

Oh, what wondrous news awaits you
such a beauteous Symphony . . .
Father gives "New Songs" each morning
forgiving us so graciously ~

Listen ~ His voice is calling
"Let me, Jesus says ~ "enter in . . .
my blood is GREATER than past
mistakes ~ cleanses from every sin" ~

"I am Christ Jesus, your Saviour
in me, child, is where you belong . . .
refreshing ~ renewal I offer you
precious child ~ "SING A NEW SONG"
