As with a garment, O Lord,
Thou coverest Thyself with light;
in Thee is no darkness,
Thy Glory~Cloud is bright.

The heavens, as a curtain,
dost Thou stretch, O Lord;
laying the beams of Thy chambers
in the waters, saith Thy Word.

The clouds are thy chariot,
yea, Thou walketh 'pon the wings of the
wind; Thou maketh Thy angels spirits,
Thou ministers a flaming fire to send.

The foundations of the earth
were laid, O Lord, by Thee;
in perfection was it laid
and forever shall it be.

With the deep Thou coveredst it,
as with a garment rare;
mountains stand above it, O Lord,
Thou tendest it with care.

By Thy thunderous command,
the waters, rebuked Thou;
Fleeing hastily to the mountains
and valleys, Thou hast placed them now.

They mayest not pass over
the bound Thou hast set;
Never again shall the earth
be cover'd by them, they shan't forget.

O Lord, Thou sendeth the springs
to flow through valley and hill;
giving drink to thirsty fowl
from Thy chamber, by Thy will.

The earth is satisfied to drink,
bringeth forth fruit for man and beast;
wine that gladdens hearts; oil to shineth his face,
bread to strengthen his heart ,at the least.

How Thy Word describeth the beauties,
intelligence and great power of Thee;
not forgetting even the tiniest birds
whose home is provided by the tree.

The moon in heaven, appointed Thee
for seasons; darkness falls, animals prowl,
seek food from Thy hand, O God,
'tis Thou who knowest all reasons.

At sunrise the animals gather together
seeking their dens for rest;
Man, also, returns to his labours
until nightfall; Lord, Thou knowest best.

How manifold art Thy works, O Lord,
my God, by Thy Wisdom all art made;
Full of riches is the earth, HalleluYah,
Thy greatness shall never fade!

Forever shall Thy Glory endure,
in Thy Works shalt Thou rejoice;
To Thee will I sing as long as I live,
praises to Thee, my Lord, wilt I voice!
