Who, by just a word could change
sad faces to a smile;
always walk with you
that so long extra mile?
Our Daddy!

Who could teach a lesson
with just one glinty look;
tell adventures of Jack & Bob
found in no storybook?
Our Daddy!

Who chased away ole boogeyman
when brother had a fright;
calming, reassuring him
just by turning on the light?
Our Daddy!

Who graduated law school
while keeping family fed;
working night and day
at jobs wherever he was led?
Our Daddy!

Who emphasized importance
of school and all it brings;
fair~play ~ honour ~ integrity
many other valuable things?
Our Daddy!

A man of sensitivity
who taught the Golden Rule;
himself of higher learning, but,
never how to use a tool?
Our Daddy!

Who was such an encourager
affectionate, gentle, never swore;
whose family loves him dearly
very few deserve this more!
