NEVER EMPTY

The inn too full to give him bed ~ empty,
Manger where He lay His tiny head ~ empty;
The cozy home that Mary made ~
Carpenter shop where he learn'd His trade ~
Temple where He often prayed ~ all empty.

The Upper Room with table spread ~ empty,
Bag of Thirty that bought His head ~
empty;
Gethsemane where He agonized,
The hall where Pilate criticized, And
where His Sovereignty was so despised ~
empty.

The Street of Pain He walked upon ~
empty,
Soldier's spear, the jeering throng ~ empty;
The cruel Cross that knew His frame,
The tomb still echoing His name,
If they could speak, would all proclaim,
"Today we're empty ! "

BUT ~ there's a place where Love abides,
NEVER EMPTY ~
A Crimson Stream ~ A Healing Tide,
NEVER EMPTY ~
His blood flows from the Mercy Seat ~
Where sinful man and Sweet Grace meet ~
It's there Salvation is complete ~
Praise God ~ NEVER EMPTY !

Oh ~ Glory to His matchless Name,
NEVER EMPTY !
Healing then and now the same,
NEVER EMPTY !

Oh ~ That Fountain's healing flow ~
Always washing white as snow ~
We must thank JESUS, each time
we go ~
IT'S NEVER EMPTY !

Jesus saith unto him,
I am the Way, the Truth and The Life.
No man cometh to the Father
but by me.
