If I could hear my mother pray,
she'd share my hurts with God;
weeping she'd remind him of
His unchanging Word.

She'd intercede in my behalf
when prayers I could not utter;
Oh, I know our Lord would answer
soon the prayers of my sweet
mother!

My mother wouldn't ask the Lord,
for help that wasn't needed;
she'd often tell me, "God's so
busy"
with those who've interceded.

She'd be very specific, not take
too much of Father's time;
Oh, if I could hear my mother
pray again, t'would be so
sublime.

If I could see her kneeling
there
the Bible spread before;
I'd watch those teardrops
falling
oh, t'would touch me to the
core.

But mother is in Heaven now,
words fail me to express;
how much I miss her heartfelt
prayers, with which I was so
bless'd.

Sometimes when its very quiet,
I can almost hear her pray;
now on wings of faith I send my
love,
dear mother, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
