Through sobs, story's unfolding,
I recognize its 'frain:
Heart~wrenching, I cry, "Oh Jesus,
take aways this piercing pain"!

"Remind her YOU'RE The Healer,
who hears each burning plea;
for you've born mankind's cruelest
acts, been nailed to Calvary's tree!"

My mother~heart could not refrain,
hot tears that join'd her own;
arms aching just to hold her,
as in childhood she had known.

Counsel flow'd through teardrops,
The Spirit spoke The Word;
"Let not your heart be troubled,"
her listening spirit heard.

"There's naught too hard for Jesus,
His Love is balm so sweet;
Trust Him, my precious daughter,
WHERE GRACE AND MERCY MEET!"

Thankfulness for answered prayer
within this mother~heart so swell'd;
when confirmation quickly came,
her voice no teardrop held!

Peacefulness replaced each hurt,
we shared the joyful praise;
The Lord took us beneath His wings,
to delight in all HIS ways!
