He saw our tears
and Wisdom,
understood . . .
the blinding need
our enemies
proclaim'd good ~
Our yearning,
searching
seem'd to be in vain
. . .
no recourse,
expiation for such
pain ~
The roads of purpose
doubt~strewn along
our way . . .
constricted throats,
tear~filled
too weak to pray ~
Then Saviour Sweet
reach'd into this
abyys . . .
sorrows abated with
His Holy kiss ~
Nor left He us
our way to find
alone . . .
No, Jesus stays 'til
every burden's gone
~
And whispers softly
as the breast of
Dove . . .
"I never leave nor
forsake those I LOVE
!"
