Lift  up  your heads,  O ye  gates;
and be  ye  lifted up,  ye
everlasting doors;  and
the King of glory shall
come in.  Who is  this
King of glory?  The Lord
strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty
in battle.

Psalm  24:7~8

~The King Of Glory~

What King would leave the golden crown,
that  graced  His  blessed  head;
to  wear  the  one shaped by mankind,
with  thorns  of   sin  instead?

And,  lay  aside  His  spotless robe,
of  Heaven's own quality;
to  wear the  garment  man designed,
by  his  iniquity?

Or  trade  the nectar  made in Heav'n,
for  life's  most bitter  cup;
Yet  ask  forgiveness for  those sins,
that   slowly  used  Him  up?

Replace  His  royal  Throne for,
sin~sculpt'  cross, altar of decay;
There to  shed  the  ONLY  blood,
could  wash  man's  sin  away?

Exchange  majestic scepter for tools
man's   sin  would  name;
spikes driv'n through his hands & feet,
wounding  his  Kingly  frame?

Would  God,  Himself, become a  man,
to  reclaim  man  from  sin;
Conquer  Death, Hell and the Grave,
the  final  victory  win?

Who, but GOD, could  do  all  this,
and  live  Redemption's  Story?
none  other than the Prince of Peace,
Messiah,  King  of  Glory.

The King of  Kings,  Lord  of  Lords,
has  won  the  Victory;
JESUS  CHRIST,  is  God with us ~
Triumphant  KING  OF  GLORY !
