At table meditating
just my sweet Lord and I .
. .
through the kitchen window
in a tree tiny nestlings
to aspy ~

In wonder sat I watching
mother bird fly to and fro
. . .
bringing morsels time and
time again
tirelessly caring ~
lovingly so ~

The tree, bare but a month
ago,
now green garment on
display . . .
'tis springtime~ Nature
rejoicing
gentle breezes all asway ~

Such wondrous unfolding
mysteries
before my awestruck eyes .
. .
fragrant flowers blooming
anew
buzzing bees ~ fragile
butterflies ~

Pond'ring in my heart
how such creatures great
and small . . .
know just the time to
awaken
from sleep through
winter's call ~

Father so gently whispered
"I created ALL you see . .
.
they respond in thankful
obedience
'tis not such a great
mystery" ~

"They spend no time
complaining
rebellion they don't
understand . . .
no sloth ~ no fighting ~
no backbiting
flowing smoothly obeying
my Plan" ~

"If only my precious
children
from them learned lessons
so well . . .
such joyfulness would fill
each heart
no tongue could ever tell
"~

Then peacefulness becalm'd
me
like that bird, my
questions flew, . . .
as Father's arms enfolded
me
EVER FAITHFUL ~ EVER TRUE
