EvenSong

As  twilight  gathers  shadows,
night  is  falling  near  ~~
O ~ gracious  Heavenly  Father
heart's~ comfort,  you  are here ~~~

To  touch  those hurting places
that  oft'  need  such  repair  ~~
draw   us 'neath  Your  loving wing
for  what   we  need  is  there ~~~

Some  have  been  so  reject'd
by  someone  held  quite  dear  ~~
ONLY  You ,  dear  Father,
can  dry  rejection's  tear

And,  others  weep  in  silence
smiles  hide  a  brok'n  heart  ~~
deserted  by  the  one  they  love
who  promis'd   ne'er  to  part ~~~

Others  by  a  bedside  kneel
to   hold  an  ill  one's  hand  ~~
beseeching  You  to  bring  relief
Lord,  we know  You  understand ~~~

Some  have  doubt  &  confusion
some  lonely,  some  forlorn ~~
with  hopes  &  dreams  in  ashes
The  pain  cannot  be  borne ~~~

So,  here  we  are  at  EvenSong
hearts seeking  only  You  ~~
Oh ~  Father  meet  our  every  need
as  ONLY  YOU  can  do  ~~~

For,  Lord,   You are the Glory
The Lifter  of  our  heads  ~~
Our  Standard~Bearer, Peace~Speaker
the  enemy's  greatest  dread ~~~

Our  Mercy~Giver ~ Mountain ~ Mover
Lord ,   All~Sufficient  ONE ~~
This  prayer we  lift  before Your Throne
in the name of  Jesus Christ,  Your  Son

Knowing  angels  You  dispatched
shall  guard  us  through  the night  ~~
Thanking,  Praising, Trusting  You
to wake us with  the  morning  Light !

Oh,  Gracious  Heavenly  Father,  how  we  long  to
hear  Your  tender  voice and  remain  in  Your
sweet  presence gaining  strength and reassurance.
The battles  here  are  often  raging,  our  precious Lord.
The enemies  of our  souls  seem  relentless  and  are
ever seeking  to  destroy,  as  Your  Word  declares
they  do.    But,  dear  Lord,  greater  is  He who is in
us  than  he  that  is in  the  world.  

Therefore,  are we  crying  out  to YOU,  our  beloved
Father,  to  soothe  the  wounds  inflicted  by  our
enemies  and  help  us  remember  to  don  THE ARMOUR
provided  by  You  to  defeat  our  foes.   

Having  our  loins  girt  about  with  truth,  and having
on  the  breastplate  of  righteousness;   our feet  shod
with  the preparation  of  the  gospel of peace;
Above all,  taking  the  shield  of  faith,  wherewith  we
shall  be able  to  quench  all  the  fiery  darts  of  the
wicked.   Taking  the  helmet  of  salvation  and  the
sword  of  the Spirit,  which  is  the  Word  of  God.

Thank  You,  our  blessed   Father,  that  You  never
leave  us  here  unprotected.   Thank  You  for  our
Lord and  Saviour,  Jesus  Christ,  who is  OUR
GOOD  SHEPHERD.    HE  ever  watches  over  His
flock  to  nurture  and  protect  us.  Thank  You for
Your  power and Your  presence  and  for  providing
The Lamb of God,  The LIVING  SACRIFICE  for
our  sins.    We  give  You  all  the praise and all
the  glory  for  your  boundless,  unconditional LOVE.
But my God shall supply  all your  need
according  to  his  riches  in  glory  by
Christ  Jesus.

Now  unto  God and our Father  by  glory
for  ever  and  ever.  Amen

Philippians  4:19~20

This  is YOUR  WORD,  Father God,  and
upon  this  ROCK  we  stand.

As  we  close our  eyes  to  sleep, Oh
beloved  Father,  we  commit  all of  our  cares
to  you  and  ask  that  you  watch over
us  and  our  loved  ones.   We  adore
you,  oh,  blessed  Father  and  trust
YOU  with  all  of  our  being.
