Father, in Heaven
hear this heartfelt plea . . .
Is ANYTHING, Lord, too
difficult for Thee?

You see there are these problems
that just won't go away . . .
Are You much too busy
to help me today? ~

My health ain't too perky
my emotions are shot . . .
the doctor's prescriptions
don't help what I've got ~

And then there's my husband
he just don't understand . . .
why my nerves are wound
tighter than ole' Dick's hatband ~

Lord, he grumbles & fusses
when the bills get behind . . .
says if I don't stop spendin'
he'll go outta his mind ~

To top it all off, Lord
the kids are runnin' amuck . . .
one's three payments behind
for his broken~down truck ~

There's one lost his job
and he's sick, Lord, to boot . . .
his wife just left for Vegas
with her "squirreled~away" loot ~

Now, GOD, I've been patient
but I'm tired ~ don't you see . . .
DO YOU EVER GET TIRED
LORD, of hearing from me?

I hope not 'cause, dadburn'd
You just cain't count on me . . .
Heh ~ I've got my hands full
that's real easy to see ~

IF YOU EVER GET TIRED, LORD
the "jigs up" down here . . .

LOUD, Lord, AND CLEAR !
