Just for a moment
darkness enfold'd me
Chasing the Sonshine away...
Shadows of doubt
cloaked me in terror
Turning my blue skies to gray ~

Far from His presence
wand'ring ~ bewildered
dragging cruel chains of despair...
sifting through ashes
of dreams left unfullfill'd
too broken to utter a prayer ~

The enemy laugh'd gleefully
watching me struggle
enjoying the battle he'd won...
with wanton delight
he basked in the triumph
forgetting in darkness, THE SON ~

Just for a moment
I heard Jesus whisper
words so familiar and clear...
"Hold on My child JOY comes in the morning"
AND MORNING IS SO VERY NEAR ~

Touching my heart
refreshing my spirit
The Shepherd restoreth my soul...
not JUST FOR A MOMENT
No ~ for ever and ever
JESUS promised I'd reach THE GOAL!
